parallel-ish
ParaLLEl-RDP fork that serves community HD texture packs at full upscale on Vulkan
Rendered in parallel-ish with HD textures by MasterKillua.
parallel-ish (it’s parallel, ish) is a fork of ParaLLEl-RDP, the accuracy-focused Vulkan renderer for N64 emulation, extended to serve the community’s hand-drawn HD texture packs correctly at full upscale — packs that previously only worked on GLideN64’s OpenGL path. With the feature off, output is bit-identical to upstream.
The renderer work was done by coding agents under my direction: Claude Fable 5 built the hi-res path in about 20 active hours (after months of failed attempts with earlier models), and an OpenAI Codex agent validated it by playing Paper Mario through the end of Chapter 1 on the fork. It’s open source and buildable today, but not yet user-ready; current work is hardening it toward something anyone can run through RetroArch across platforms.
